About the job
The Medical Diagnostics Representative will be actively involved in the marketing of the organization’s health services and products.
He / She will be actively engaged in sourcing for new businesses and maintain client relationships while ensuring that the business targets and objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Promote the company’s portfolio of services to grow existing businesses and secure new accounts in order to generate revenue and meet assigned financial and other targets or objectives.
Research, identify and build relationships with new prospects, potential clients and decision-makers within the client population, associations, or organizations to penetrate new markets.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging on existing or developed networks.
Engage in the marketing of other General Hospitals and private Health clinics within your territory.
Introduce the brand to doctors and follow-up with patient referrals from public and private hospitals and also organizations for corporate screening and partnership.
Cold call as appropriate within assigned geographic area to ensure the development and support of a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Develop effective and professional presentations of the organization’s products and services.
Make enquiries on the numbers of doctors and consultants available each day, and partner with them to get referrals.
Ensure that Echolab request forms are available with all referring doctors within your territory - both General and Private hospitals.
Develop and assist with the delivery or execution of proposals, contracts, service agreements and related documentation on behalf of the Company.
Assist in developing pricing structures for Echo-Scan’s solutions and services.
Contribute to developing and implementing the Company’s Marketing & Sales strategy (e.g., brochures, company presentations, website improvement)
Collaborate with mid and senior level management, marketing and operations/Branch Clinical Team Leads or Unit Heads to develop and design targeted solutions & services for active and prospective client base.
Maintain frequent contact with clients through focused client visits and presentations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and prompt resolution of client issues and needs.
Clients’ follow-up after test/procedures for feedback processes.
Maintain own and contribute to the Company’s Customer Contacts Database.
Build and manage relationships with relevant external stakeholders including relevant professional Associations, regulatory bodies, government agencies, etc. to ensure the best outcomes for the Company.
Share knowledge with the Sales Manager and members of Branch Units & teams on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
Stay abreast of new tests, new procedures, and new technology in the field of Medical Diagnostics
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics in all activities and interactions on behalf of the Company.
Prepare and send periodic (weekly/monthly/quarterly) reports to line manager on marketing activities, results and issues encountered.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the line manager or other senior members of the Echo-Scan Sales Team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree / HND in Medical Laboratory or Biological Sciences.
An MBA or relevant professional qualifications will be a definite advantage.
2 - 4 years’ post-graduate experience in business development, sales, or similar role with a reputable organization in the retail Medical Diagnostic or Occupational Healthcare/Wellness space; with hands-on experience in multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
In-depth knowledge of performance metrics.
Must have sound computer skills, especially in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
